Dealers can access Form HSMV83140: http://www.flhsmv.gov/dmv/forms/BTR/83140.pdf , License Plate Rate Chart from the Division of Motorist Services or the Tax Collector’s Office to calculate fees due on any vehicle they sell. These rates are established by state law and may not be modified by a dealer. Further, any dealer charging excess title and registration fees in excess of those allowed by law will be in violation of state statutes. Dealers must refund all monies paid in excess of the established title and registration rates.
