As previously mentioned, the dealer license is renewed annually/biennial renewal option. Independent motor vehicle dealers with a VI prefix only must submit a certificate of completion of continuing education course or as referred at times as the CE course with their renewal application.  The course expires every two years. The supplemental location renewal fee for all licensees is $50. Pay close attention to the renewal dates. It may cost you delinquent penalties fees. Salvage dealers are exempt from Garage Liability Insurance.
